Social Media Bubble | Declining Organic Reach | Think before you invest more energy and resources

The social media storm is taking people down. (Hear me out)

Earlier, there were no good smart phones, the cost for camera was high and the accessibility for the poor and middle class people was quite low. It was one of those big desires then to have a smartphone.

BUT if you see now, the tech market has boomed. The cost of these items are 10x cheaper, the availability is huge and demand skyrocketed. Every other person has a high quality camera, a story to tell (Most of which are made just out instantly, so crappy content).

We actually have to surf for good content these days. And have to unlearn a lot of things + avoiding the shitty contents.

Like, just imagine. The influencers are making money now (or trying to make) but –

• what would happen if their account gets blocked?

• what would happen if they couldn’t sustain in the future?

• What would happen if they are skipping the formal education for making some fun gaming or other videos?

• The dream factor at risk is quite big. With no sustainability in future. There are 100s or 1000s of people making same contents as you.

• What’s the guarantee that the social media algorithm supporting you now, will support you in future?

• And there are these young people who are in for fame and namesake, not knowing how the real world works. Think how much of that would be a BUMMER when they realise this issue.

• The social media companies make mlney via you. Yes, the advertisers and content creators. They would definately tweak things in their favour and not yours. Don’t you think so?

These guys are doing it for entertainment purpose only. While there’s no harm in doing that, but what i feel is the task should be backed uyo by some real talent and not just video posting.
Also, i personally believe the social media game is at it’s peak. The competition is fierce, and the market has become saturated. It’s an alarming sign that people should look for an alternative to making a career out of youtube and Instagram.

Your business and reach could vanish in a snap. It’s not in our control. And the organic reach is dead in 2020.

I’ve several pages and accounts in social media too, just saying that we should be not dependent in it and use those as a medium to communicate.

What do you guys think?

Will the bubble grow more or will it burst soon? #Comment

A social media bubble that could burst many dreams.

Until next time..

Another scenario is happening to YouTube. The company is cluttering videos with advertising in the most annoying manner. Viewing videos is becoming extremely unpleasant. This is being done to encourage consumers to subscribe to paid versions of YouTube. However, many people cannot afford such a service, so they have to cope with YouTube’s advertising glut. Viewers often click away from otherwise excellent content out of frustration.

Absolutely. Bang on. It’s crazy how these social media giants lure people with “free” stuffs in the first place and then once they are hooked, bombard with advertisements.

Also, recently I’ve noticed people are doing advertisements like crazy. Nothing to insult anyone, but a total newbie talking about expertise in an ad and lurking innocent customers is just not done.

While we had hard time to access the content at once, it’s becoming difficult as hell to AVOID shitty ones. There are tons of them. To add more to the issue, advertisements as you said.

      Crazyy!
      High energy consumption.

The social media bubble is just that — a bubble. It is vulnerable. Those who depend solely on social media whether for their information or their income are equally vulnerable.

Seriously. Just a bubble about to burst soon. It should just be a good means to communicate. I was addicted into it as well. But the time I’ve allotted to it now is quite less. Just to connect with people.
Followers chase is terrible, too much energy.

      Glad that you could relate
